Curcuma longa

We chose Lakadong turmeric from Meghalaya for its exceptional curcumin content of 7-12%, compared to regular turmeric's 2-3%. This premium variety commands 3-4x higher market prices and has growing organic demand both domestically and for export.

Why We Chose This Crop

Lakadong turmeric is a high-value, low-competition crop perfectly suited to Jharkhand's tropical climate. With drip irrigation we can control moisture precisely — critical for turmeric's sensitive root system.
